Promover o diálogo e a cooperação entre os intervenientes socioeconómicos para aproximar as suas atividades, identificar sinergias potenciais e incentivar uma melhor gestão dos recursos naturais.
Dar prioridade a projetos de economia circular como parte das novas parcerias entre a cidade, o porto, os negócios e a sociedade civil, e apoiar o desenvolvimento de atividades portuárias destinadas à promoção de intercâmbios e/ou reciclagem de materiais e energia.
Promover o compromisso do território Cidade-Porto para alcançar valores de carbono mais baixos, numa sociedade de utilização eficiente de recursos, através da transformação da indústria, e da produção e a gestão de energias renováveis neutrais em carbono.
Incentivar a comunidade portuária a tornar-se parceira na geração de energia limpa, principalmente no momento da renovação das concessões.
LIGAÇÃO AOS ODS DA ONU
The Project Irisphere was first launched under EU Interreg program to test the concept of industrial ecology in a specific site. In 2015, the project was expanded to a regional scale, coordinated by Citydev.Brussels, the regional public development company. The aim of Irishpere is to stimulate the development of circular economy in Brussels-Capital Region by guiding companies, improving the circularity of materials and increasing cooperation at regional level. One of the main action fields has been the recycling of construction materials, such as concrete, wood or carpet. The Irisphere project includes several important partners, such as the Port of Brussels and Brussels Port Community. The canal zone where the port is located has many opportunities to implement circular economy principles, both in terms of locations and in terms of companies active in key sectors. Brussel Port and citydev.Brussels are focusing their cooperation on concrete material, since it has the one highest environmental impact but also, the highest potential gains. This cooperation is visible in a new project currently under development: a concrete recycling line installed on the waterway, allowing flows to circulate easily on the canal between the concrete mixers and the recycling centre. This would be the first of its kind in Belgium and the second in Europe and the world.
The Port and the City of Marseilles are cooperating on various aspects of theEuroméditerranée urban regeneration plan, including carbon-neutral development. One example is the smartseille in the new EcoCité Euroméditerranée district. Massileo” a smart renewable energy network, was implemented as part of this project. Massileo uses marine energy: seawater is captured in the harbour basins to heat or cool an urban water circuit and thus supply with heating or air conditioning the offices, shops and dwellings present on the 2,7 hectares of this eco-district. A similar network has been in operation since 2016 with the “Thalassia”. energy central plant. The system also allows offices and dwellings to exchange heat between them: the heat generated by air conditioning is recovered for the production of hot water. The system saves energy and reduces emissions by using a resource specific to port cities: the thermal qualities of sea water.
In 2016, the Port of Barcelona began work on a sectorial Sustainable Development Plan, in conjunction with representatives from every sector of the logistics and port community, along with interest groups. After consulting the stakeholders, discussions took place to identify the indicators that would be used for the sectorial plan, based on the Global Reporting Initiative Guide.
The 2017 action plan was defined with the participation of 53 businesses and institutions. The environmental component includes measures to reduce energy and water consumption in the port, cut atmospheric emissions, reduce effluents and residues, along with the impact of transport and the prevention of environmental risks.
